How did Hubert de Givenchy influence fashion in the 80s? – So the Givenchy fashion house and perfume house was founded by Hubert de Gicenchy. He was a fashion designer of aristocratic origin. And he designed clothes for celebrities such as Audrey Hepburn and Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy.

Firstly he made his first designs in 1945. In ’52 he opened his own design house. Secondly he specialised in versatile cotton shirts. And he first met Audrey Hepburn in 1953, on the set of the film Sabrina. The actress became the fashion designer’s most prominent admirer.
